ShirtUP Mama! aims to become the leading online platform for sustainable breastfeeding products.
After the birth of my daughter, my entire day revolved around her and her needs. Since she could only be soothed by breastfeeding, I felt like I was nursing 24/7. Most of the time, I wore my regular clothes, as the nursing clothes I found were either not fiting, of poor quality or very expensive. However, this often caused an issue: my clothes would fall down over my daughter’s face, forcing me to hold them up with one hand or even my chin, which was incredibly tiring.
One day, while breastfeeding in the dark, I had my first idea for the nursing clip. After finding no similar product during my research, I decided to create my own prototype using materials from earlier sewing projects. With feedback from fellow moms and countless iterations of prototypes, I finally developed the final design - and ShirtUP was born.
With the nursing clip, my goal is to make breastfeeding easier for mothers, promote breastfeeding rates, and offer a sustainable alternative to traditional nursing clothes.
